Let me apologize for being less than regular with our site updates. If there are any fish fanatic, chip heads out there that might be willing to help us with regular updates, please contact us.
Fishing has been fairly good lately even though water temps are pretty low and weed cover is making fishing a little tough. Low water temps are keeping most pan fish in deeper water. Large Mouth Bass have been very active lately responding to live baits and all your favorite cranks and blades. Panfish are being caught usually on weed edges gentle drops and sparce coontail weed cover with sand or gravel breaks. Weeds are thick on most area lakes and will probably get worse as summer progresses. Most quality panfish are being taken in 4 - 8 ft. of water . Some quality fish have been taken from deep water in the early am's. Northerns have been very active lately responding to all your favorite live and artificial baits. Several Northerns caught recently on smaller minnows.
Our contest board has lots of beautiful fish indicating very good fishing. For more information on fishing the Northern Kettle Moraine lakes look for articles in the sports section of the Campbellsport News and other area newspapers . That's it, enough talk, I'm goin fishin. See you on the lakes.
